exodus brings repertoire performances of ZERO and IVANOV to San Francisco’s Presidio for a fall tour
After a long and sunny road trip, we rehearsed and translated ZERO and IVANOV into the House of Web3, a 13,000 square foot open co-creation space. While rehearsing, we had the privilege of spending time with (and learning all about) the Web3 pioneers who generously let us share their space. Exodus Experiences are always site specific, meaning that when we perform a show, we adjust it so that it feels organic to whatever space we’re in. Since we don’t perform in “normal” theatres, our performance spaces are always extremely different and require about four eight-hour days per show to translate into a new architecture. Our Exodus actors and artists are the infrastructure of our company, which means that all tech, assembly, set up, and heavy lifting (literally!) is performed by the same folks who act in our shows every night.
We were met with an extra fun new fanbase, sold out performances, and a sick write up in the San Francisco Standard (check it out here) as well as another review rundown feature from our friends at No Proscenium (check it out here).
“IVANOV was the most intense and intimate artistic experience I’ve ever had. If you’re ever in the proximity of an Exodus ensemble performance, don’t miss it.” - Elissa Mardiney, San Francisco Correspondent
“Who decides the future of AI is yet to be decided, but at least in ZERO, the audience have a say in the ultimate direction. - Christina Campodonico, The San Francisco Standard
