New Works Collaborator

Kit is the writer of DEATHCOOKIE, Exodus’s original sci-fi murder mystery produced in collaboration with Sky Railway. He was raised in Provo, Utah. In 2021, he received a PhD in philosophy from Emory University, with focuses on epistemology, aesthetics, and art criticism. His dissertation is entitled: The Lie of Time: Genuine Aesthetic Disagreement in Kant’s Critical Philosophy. He is a professor at St. John’s College, NM, where he currently teaches philosophy, the theory of mathematics, and quantum mechanics. Notable academic publications and presentations include: “Time and Transcendental Matters: The Sensible Role of the Thing in Itself” (De Gruyter), “Pure Light and the Promethean Self of Fichte’s 1804 Wissenschaftslehre” (SUNY Press), and "The Three Faces of dx: Deleuze’s Eliminative Critique of Cognitive Judgment" (APA Central). Kit strives to use his academic career to inform his artistic projects, believing that an intensive understanding of the forces that shape both the world and human beings enables him to make visceral art that cuts deep. In addition to writing DEATHCOOKIE, Kit has consulted with Exodus since its inception, collaborating with the ensemble during each development process to help craft the plots of every original experience.
