Jayson was born in Baton Rouge, LA, and grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta. Jayson is currently finishing up his first body of work as a singer/songwriter. His EP the sound of the moon will be available to stream in the coming months! Before his venture into writing and producing his own music, Jayson’s artistic expression was primarily shared through acting. Some of his theatre credits include: How to Defend Yourself (Victory Gardens), Ghost Gun (Goodman Theater), Christmas at Pemberley (Northlight Theatre), and Hooded; or being black for dummies (First Floor TheateR). Jayson was awarded the BTAA award for Most Promising Actor for his performance in Hooded. You can see Jayson as Calvin Harris in AMC’s courtroom drama, 61st Street.
